Pre-loved family things looking for a next home — Sydney North Shore

We're a family living in Sydney's North Shore with kids who keep growing out of things faster than we can keep up. Everything listed here is something we genuinely loved and used, and we'd like to pass it on to someone who'll get the same use out of it.

The aim isn't to make a profit. Prices are suggestions to keep things fair — what matters more is that these things go to people who actually need them and are willing to make the trip to pick them up.

A childrens study desk in white and green, with a matching white swivel chair on castors. Both go together for the one price.

The desk is height adjustable — the legs set to three heights (59, 66 and 72 cm), so it grows with a child from about school age through high school. The top is 96 x 58 cm, with cable holders behind the back legs. Around $158 new.

Still in good condition. Some marks from use, but solid and everything adjusts as it should. Comes apart for transport if your car is small.

The play mat both our kids started out on. A big quilted alphabet mat with animal patches, a baby-safe mirror, and two padded arches with toys hanging down to bat at and grab.

Good from newborn to around 8 months — lying and looking at first, then reaching, grabbing and tummy time. Lots of colour, texture and crinkle to keep them interested.

Pre-loved by both of ours and it shows its age, but everything is there and works. The arches unclip so it folds flat for the car.
